Aerodyn Engineering Inc. welcomes Michael Mynatt, Quality Manager

Aerodyn Engineering Inc. is pleased to announce that Michael Mynatt has joined our team in Indianapolis as Quality Manager. Michael’s role will be to manage the QMS.
Michael brings to Aerodyn 32 years of progressive leadership experience in Aerospace Quality and Process Documentation. He spent 13 years as Quality Manager at Rolls-Royce (R-R) supporting the quality systems for various engine groups. Michael received his Six-Sigma Green Belt certification at R-R and led several improvement teams with benefits valued at over $6 million. He received his Lead Auditor certification at R-R and led a team of internal auditors that monitored and improved many processes. Michael also led a team which found and resolved major quality failures (MQF) at R-R.
Michael has experience with several engine powerplants including Pratt and Whitney, Rolls-Royce, General Dynamics, Embraer, Northrup Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Sikorsky, Agusta, Robinson, Cessna, Airbus and many others. Michael has experience with the V22 Tilt-Rotor engine (1100C), Embraer engines (3007A), Cessna engines (3007C), Joint Strike Fighter Lift Fan, C130 Transport engines (T56), Robinson helicopter engine (RR300) and many others.
Michael comes to us from General Devices (GD) that is a major manufacture of computer hardware. He recently led GD through the successful transition from ISO 9001:2008 to 9001:2015. Michael also led GD through several certification audits from companies such as Oshkosh, Dell, Becton, and Caterpillar.
Michael is married, has six children, seven grandchildren, three dogs and seven horses. He earned his Bachelor’s in Technical Writing from Indiana University.
