Aerodyn welcomes Sanjita Sirajudeen, Graduate Development Engineer Intern
Published: March 2, 2017
We recently welcomed Sanjita Sirajudeen on a Graduate Development Engineer Internship, read about her experience and why she chose to do an internship at Aerodyn:
My name is Sanjita and in July 2016 I graduated with a BEng (Hons) degree in Mechatronics Engineering from De Montfort University in Leicester. I have always had a keen interest in Physics and Mathematics and I wanted to pursue a career where I would be able to develop a further understanding of these subjects. By studying Mechatronics Engineering, I felt I would be able to combine my creative, analytical, and thinking skills. Having a particular interest in Systems Integration and Embedded Systems modules, I completed C and C++ programming courses during my summer break. I also took part in various engineering societies such as the Engineers Without Borders and the International Development for Engineers. This gave me an insight into Project Management and Sustainable Engineering.
Following my graduation, I wanted to be able to apply my skills in Mechanical, Electronics and Software disciplines that I had gained during my study in the relevant industry. I applied to Aerodyn Ltd as I felt that it would provide me with a great opportunity to kickstart my career. As a Graduate Development Engineer, I have been given key responsibilities from day one. I have been exposed to the different projects Aerodyn are involved with, which has enabled me to broaden my knowledge technically. I get a lot of support from the Development Team and the staff here at Aerodyn are so friendly and helpful. This has made the transition from university-life to work-life very easy. I have now almost completed my second week and I already feel part of the Aerodyn team!
