QUALITY MANAGER – NORTH AMERICA, INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Aerodyn Engineering is looking for a Quality Manager to lead our Quality Department — organizing workflow, developing our people, and maintaining and improving the Quality Management System that keeps us certified and our customers confident. You’ll be the connective tissue between manufacturing, engineering, and upper management on everything quality-related, from daily priorities to the metrics that show up in the boardroom.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Quality Department personnel, setting daily/weekly/monthly priorities to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Maintain and support Quality Management System compliance to customer, industry, and regulatory standards, including supporting customer and 3rd-party audits.
  • Manage all Customer Quality Requirements and shipments to ensure documents and processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Serve as the liaison with manufacturing and engineering to resolve nonconformances and corrective actions.
  • Report, track, and manage Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement systems across Aerodyn.
  • Organize and analyze customer records for effective record keeping.
  • Establish and present regular employee training on quality issues.
  • Present quality management review meetings — metrics and key process indicators — to upper management monthly and quarterly.
  • Provide additional support for plate inspection, part marking, FAI/data packages, inspections, and shipments as needed.
  • Perform DSQR support to meet customer requirements.

What Makes You a Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 5+ years of quality management experience.
  • 5+ years of aerospace or automotive industry experience.
  • Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100:D/ISO9001:2015.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed, able to deliver under pressure and meet customer/management deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 5+ years of quality management experience.
  • 5+ years of aerospace or automotive industry experience.
  • Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100:D/ISO9001:2015.
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook).
  • Must be self-directed, professional, and comfortable operating independently and within a team.
  • Minimum travel required.
